How to play

THE LONGER VERSION…

GETTING INTO A GAME

quick match - press this button to jump into the lobby of an existing game. if no game is found, a room will be created. wait for players to join (minimum 2 to start).

create room - give your new room a name and create it. you can wait for people to join randomly, or give your room name to friends so they can join.

join room - if you’ve been given a room name from someone enter it here to join.

LOBBY

before the game starts you’ll find yourself in the lobby. here you will wait for extra players to join - minimum 2 to start.

feel free to run around and chat with other players while waiting.

if you created the room you will have extra options including map selection.

GAME RULES

when the game starts one player will be assigned as “it”. this player will have an it aura. the it player will remain frozen while the game countdown starts.

while the game is running, the it player will receive no points. the not it players will receive 1 point per second. if you’re it, tag someone to start gaining points.

first player to reach 50 points will win that round. at the end of each round a new it player will be assigned.

first player to win 3 rounds (reach 150 points), will win the game and claim a coveted tag crown.

OTHER GAMEPLAY THINGS

every player has a boost button. use it to evade a sticky situation or secure a tag. the boost takes 15 seconds to recharge so use it wisely.

after tagging someone, you will remain invincible for a few seconds, meaning you can’t be tagged during that time. use this time to get to a safe spot.

LEADERBOARDS

leaderboards can be accessed from the main menu. earn tag crowns by wining games and climb the leaderboards to claim your glory.

leaderboards are reset every month. top players from each month will be published on the website.

during special events, players can earn exclusive prizes by placing highly in the monthly leaderboards.

CHANGING HEROES

Tap your hero in the start screen to select a different hero.

CHANGING USERNAME

tap your name in the start screen to change it. must be a unique name, minimum 3 letters.

LOGIN/LOGOUT

when you first open the game, you can choose to login with a third party application, or continue as guest.

you are not forced to log in but there are some benefits:

- you can login from multiple devices with your account.

- your account can be recovered if you change devices or lose your device.

- your purchases and stats will be safer (if something happens to your app or device and you haven’t linked to a recoverable account, you can lose your purchases and stats).

if you play the game as a guest, you can always link an account later through the options menu. we recommend this if you plan to make purchases or unlock new heroes.
